Meet Dr. Gary H. Layton Committed to Exceptional Dental Care
Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Gary H. Layton earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. Inspired by his father, a respected dental specialist, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Touro College of Dental Medicine at New York Medical College.
Dr. Layton completed a two-year General Practice Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, where he provided comprehensive dental care to underserved communities throughout Newark, NJ. As part of his advanced residency training, he completed an additional year of focused training in advanced root canal treatment and implant surgical techniques.
He continues to pursue advanced continuing education in implant and esthetic dentistry, allowing him to incorporate the latest techniques, technology, and treatment approaches into patient care.
At DDG, Dr. Layton embraces the culture of exceptional care, advanced dentistry, clinical talent, and clear communication. He believes in putting the patient first by taking the time to understand each patient’s needs, explaining treatment options clearly, and creating a comfortable, informed experience from start to finish.
Outside of the office, Dr. Layton enjoys skiing and hiking, often spending time on the slopes of Vermont or exploring the trails of Eagle Rock Reservation in Essex County. He is also discovering the local food scene and enjoys trying new restaurants and recipes, many of which come recommended by his patients.
Dr. Layton is currently welcoming new patients and looks forward to providing exceptional, patient-first care to the community.
